LeBeau Clinic is Proud to Offer the New CoolSculpting Petite Applicator for Treating Upper-Arm Fat

The only non-surgical FDA approved treatment for upper arm fat

Before & After Photo of CoolAdvantage Petite
Many patients have desired to treat their upper arm fat with CoolSculpting. Now there is an FDA approved solution from CoolSculpting for just this purpose.  Introducing the CoolAdvantage Petite applicator.  Previously only a small number of patients were candidates for treating arm fat because the regular size CoolFit applicator was too large for most patients.  The newest member of the CoolAdvantage family of applicators, the CoolAdvantage Petite™, treats the upper arm in just 35 minutes and comes with two interchangeable contours customized to treat the unique shape of the upper arm area.  We can now sculpt your arms for the firmer, more toned look you’ve been wanting.

“My patients have been asking for a non-invasive solution for their unwanted arm fat so I am thrilled to be able to offer them a proven solution that is both safe and effective,” said Dr. Jacque LeBeau.  “We anticipate a lot of interest from our patients now that there is an FDA-cleared solution to treat this hard to treat problem area.”

Just like the traditional CoolSculpting procedures, results become visible 4-6 weeks following treatment with improvement continuing for up to 4 months.  CoolSculpting is a non-surgical, clinically proven procedure that selectively reduces unwanted fat using a patented cooling technology. Cleared by the FDA, CoolSculpting works by gently cooling targeted fat cells to induce a natural, controlled elimination of fat cells without affecting surrounding tissue, and the treated fat cells are gone for good. Millions of CoolSculpting treatments have been performed by more than 5,700 CoolSculpting systems in over 80 countries. Market research indicates up to a 95 percent customer satisfaction rate with the CoolSculpting procedure.
With more than 70 peer-reviewed clinical papers and abstracts and over 4 million treatments performed to date in over 80 countries around the world, CoolSculpting is clinically proven to be a safe and effective treatment for non-invasive fat reduction. CoolSculpting is FDA-cleared to affect the appearance of fat bulges in the upper arm, bra and back fat, banana roll, submental area, thigh, abdomen and flank.

Dr. Jacque LeBeau is proud to announce that he is now offering the newest filler on the market –  Juvederm Vollure XC  – an exciting new treatment to correct facial wrinkles and folds at the LeBeau Clinic in Pensacola, FL.
Juvederm Vollure XC is an FDA-approved Hyaluronic Acid (HA) dermal filler which adds subtle volume to specific facial areas affected by aging.  The injectable gel was approved by the FDA on March 20, 2017 for moderate to severe facial wrinkles and folds.  These include the nasolabial folds, also known as the laugh lines or smile lines that go from the sides of the nose to the corners of the mouth.  Sometimes the fold continues to the jawline as what we call the marionette lines.

Previously Juvederm and Radiesse were the most popular hyaluronic acid fillers for this area.  Most people enjoy the results of these products for six to 12 months.  However, the new Juvederm Vollure has been shown to last up to 18 months.  This is because it uses Vycross technology.  Vycross technology is also used in the other Allergen products – Juvederm, Voluma and Volbella.  The cross-linking of the hyaluronic acid in products with Vycross technology is higher, allowing them to last longer.  In fact, a recent US clinical trial resulted in subjects reporting improvements for up to 18 months post-injection.  The longest lasting dermal filler on the market. There was also high subject satisfaction rate at both 6 and 18 months post-treatment.
Hyaluronic acid is a substance that is naturally present in the human body.  It has the ability to hold 1,000 times its weight in water.  Hyaluronic acid draws water into the skin, restoring volume and improving fine lines and wrinkles.  The active ingredient in many fillers such as Juvederm, Voluma, Volbella, and Vollure is hyaluronic acid.  The great thing about hyaluronic acid fillers is the safety profile.  In the event of a side effect or if desired results are not achieved hyaluronic acid fillers can be dissolved.

[/one_third][two_third is_last=”true”]Hyaluronic acid is also the active ingredient in our Ultra Sheer Moisturizing Serum. . The Ultra Sheer Serum is a topical product applied twice daily which allows for hydration from the outside. Hyaluronic acid’s moisture-binding characteristic is exceptionally important when it comes to skin aging. One of the qualities of youthful skin is its ability to hold water and retain a balanced amount of moisture. As we age, our skin loses the ability to maintain this vital, plumping moisture as well as it once did. The result is visible loss of firmness and diminished appearance of plumpness. Hyaluronic acid can enhance moisture content and revitalize skin’s outer layers so they look and feel softer, smoother, and beautifully hydrated. That’s how it instantly improves the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. Our Ultra Sheer Serum works well to complement dermal fillers and botox treatments to make the skin look even better. If you’ve ever wanted full lips but feared you’d end up with a trout pout, now is the time to reconsider doing something about it.
Allergan, the same company that makes Botox, just launched a new filler created specifically for the lips called Juvéderm Volbella. As with other Juvéderm fillers, Volbella is a hyaluronic acid-based gel enhanced with Lidocaine for pain.
What makes this filler unique is its patented Vycross technology which, through more efficient crosslinking, produces greater lift capacity and longer lasting results. In fact, a company-led study found that over 90% of test patients reported natural looking lips with more than 80% of them still satisfied with their results after one year. Having such a high satisfactory rate after such a long period of time is something to smile about: Previous lip fillers typically last up to 6 months, before your body breaks it up, leaving you with a deflated pout.
Additionally, Volbella is a softer, smoother gel that allows for easier injection. Its lower hyaluronic acid concentration also means that it is less hydrophilic (less likely to absorb water) resulting in reduced swelling and a more natural result. Translation: Goodbye fish lips. Another plus is that Volbella adds a nice silky sheen finish to the lips, a feature that we haven’t seen before in other fillers.
Call today for your consultation with Dr. LeBeau and to discuss if Volbella is right for you.  850-308-1738.

Coolsculpting-logoAfter years of patients asking for a treatment for stubborn body fat, Dr LeBeau has introduced the newest and most up to date Coolsculpting technology on the market. With only 30 minute treatment times and the largest size treatment applicators currently available, unwanted body fat can be removed easily and effectively with no downtime using the Coolsculpting process. We offer a quiet, relaxing environment where clients are able to sleep, read, listen to music or watch a movie while the Coolsculpting process freezes the area of unwanted body fat and allows your body to remove the injured fat cells resulting in a leaner, smoother and more sculpted appearance.

This process of freezing the fat, called cryolipolysis, was originally noted by a pediatrician to result in decreased fat within the cheeks of children who were placing a popsicle more on one side of their mouth compared to the other. This process of cryolipolysis has now been taken advantage of by Coolsculpting to provide the same results to areas of body fat including abdominal fat, thighs, flanks, back and bra fat as well as the area of fullness just under the chin. These areas can often be resistant to diet and exercise and are easily and effectively treated with the Coolsculpting process. At the time of your evaluation a customized treatment plan will be tailored specifically to your goals, your body and your budget.

15_FACE.Kybella-2

What is Kybella?
Kybella is a brand new non-surgical option for treatment of double chin fat – or sub mental fat.     It is the first and only FDA approved treatment available and involves a series of injections to the chin and neck to dissolve the fat over time.  This is a great option for patients with good skin elasticity who desire improvement in this area with minimal downtime.
Kybella is an FDA-approved medication containing the active ingredient deoxycholic acid. The substance in Kybella is a synthetic form of deoxycholic acid that is naturally produced by the body.  When Kybella is properly injected into submental fat, the drug destroys fat cells in the area so they can be naturally eliminated by the body. The result is a trimmer jawline with restored definition and a sleeker transition from the neck to the face.
[layout][one_third]beforeafterkybellaKYBELLA-Product-Image-1024[/one_third][two_third is_last=”true”]Kybella is only approved for use in the sub mental area under the chin.  Much of the excess fat in this area is located just under the skin, and that is the target for Kybella injections.  There area also nerves, glands, and blood vessels that must be avoided when doing these injections.  These are some of the important reasons that Kybella injections should only be performed by an expert who has proper training and completely understands the anatomy of the face and neck.  Dr. LeBeau is a fellowship trained, triple board certified Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeon.  You can feel confident that you will always be provided the safest, most effective treatments by Dr. LeBeau and the LeBeau Clinic in Pensacola.[/two_third][/layout]
Kybella vs. Neck Lift or Liposuction for double chin
All of these procedures are very effective options.  Kybella injections and neck lifts or liposuction all target the same type of patient – the person who has stubborn fat causing a double chin that will not go away even with weight loss.  Kybella is great for patients who still have enough youthful skin elasticity to allow the skin to shrink and tighten after the fat is removed.  Older patients with excess loose skin and muscle are better candidates for a neck lift and/or facelift. Kybella is not perfect for everyone, and that is why it’s important to have a consultation with an expert who fully understands all of the options (including surgery) that are available to you and most appropriate for your particular situation.
The advantage to surgical correction via liposuction or neck lift is that it’s a one-time procedure.  However, the recovery is much longer since it involves surgery.  Kybella injections are the perfect option for a minimal downtime non-surgical procedure for patients who do not like the idea of surgery or want something quick yet effective that fits their busy lifestyle.
Minimal Discomfort
With Kybella, there is minimal discomfort.  Dr. LeBeau does his injections a little bit differently than some other doctors in an effort to make it more comfortable for the patient.  We use the Zimmer Chiller which is a skin cooling system designed to minimize pain during treatments and for temporary topical anesthetic relief for injections. Air from the Zimmer chiller is filtered and cooled down to -30 degrees Celsius to provide you with the ultimate cooling relief.  Kybella involves a series of injections using a very small needle.  This is similar to what patients experience with a Botox treatment.  The only difference with Kybella is a mild burning and stinging sensation that some patients might notice.  With the Zimmer Chiller, the burning sensation is greatly reduced and many times not noticeable.  Treatments are very quick and can be performed within about 30 minutes.
The most common side effect with Kybella is some swelling for a few days.  This usually resolves itself over 2 or 3 days but can take up to a week to gradually subside.  There can be some mild bruising, and occasionally patients notice a mild tingling sensation or partial numbness for a few days.  This will all go back to normal over time.
Permanent Results
The great thing about Kybella is that it is permanent!  Results last forever because the fat cells that are dissolved are destroyed and are no longer able to store excess fat.  On average, most people need between 2 and 4 treatment sessions to see the best results.  The typical cost is about $1200 per session.  Treatments are spaced 4 to 6 weeks apart.
To learn more about your options and what to expect after Kybella, call our office at 850-308-1738 to schedule a personal consultation.

15_FACE.Kybella-2KYBELLA is now available at the LeBeau Clinic in Pensacola, Florida
We’ve all tried tricks to hide a double chin – wearing a high-neck top or scarf and tilting our heads just right when our photo is taken.
KYBELLA™ (deoxycholic acid) injection, the first and only FDA-approved injectable that contours and improves the appearance of moderate to severe submental fullness, also called “double chin,” is now available in Pensacola, Florida at the LeBeau Clinic. Submental fullness is a common condition that is often resistant to diet and exercise alone and influenced by several factors, including aging, genetics and weight gain.
Kybella is an injection that dissolves fat and offers people with a double chin a way to get rid of it without surgery. It has been hailed as a wonder drug for the people who have submental fullness and wish to improve their appearance. By breaking down the fat that accumulates in the submental region with age and time, it helps reduce the double chin and improves the cosmetic appearance.
Frequently Asked Questions About Kybella Treatment
What is submental fullness?
Submental fullness due to submental fat, sometimes referred to as ”double chin,” is a common, yet undertreated facial aesthetic condition. It can detract from an otherwise balanced and harmonious facial appearance – leading to an older and heavier look.
Submental fullness can impact a broad range of adults, and is not limited to people who are overweight. This condition can impact men or women of average weight and can be caused by aging, genetics and weight gain. It is often resistant to diet and exercise alone.ii
According to a 2014 survey by the American Society for Dermatologic Surgery (ASDS), over 2/3 of consumers are bothered by submental fullness – nearly as many as those bothered by lines and wrinkles around the eyes.
What is KYBELLA™ (DEOXYCHOLIC ACID) injection?
KYBELLA™ (deoxycholic acid) injection, also known as ATX-101, is the first and only FDA-approved injectable drug that contours and improves the appearance of submental fullness due to submental fat.
Kybella is identical to something your body makes called deoxycholic acid, which helps to absorb fats, the FDA says.
It works by destroying fat cells and is an alternative to liposuction or surgery to treat double-chin fat.
KYBELLA™ is indicated for improvement in the appearance of moderate to severe convexity or fullness associated with submental fat in adults. The safe and effective use of KYBELLA™ for the treatment of subcutaneous fat outside the submental region has not been established and is not recommended.
How does KYBELLA™ work?
KYBELLA™ is a non-human and non-animal formulation of deoxycholic acid, a naturally-occurring molecule in the body that aids in the breakdown and absorption of dietary fat.beforeafterkybella
When injected into subcutaneous fat, KYBELLA™ causes the destruction of fat cells. Once destroyed, those cells cannot store or accumulate fat.  After the aesthetic response is achieved, retreatment with KYBELLA™ is not expected. Due to its cytolytic activity, KYBELLA™ should not be injected into or in close proximity to vulnerable anatomic structures.
How is KYBELLA™ administered?
KYBELLA™ is administered by injections into the fat under the chin.  The KYBELLA treatment session involves receiving up to 50 small injections in the submental under-chin area in a single session. Sessions take about 15 to 20 minutes each. KybellaTherapy is administered in 2 to 6 in-office treatment sessions, spaced at least 1 month apart.
[layout][one_third]KYBELLA-Product-Image-1024[/one_third][two_third is_last=”true”]As correct placement of Kybella™ is vital for successful results, it is important to select a trained and qualified physician to achieve optimal results and to reduce the chance of any side effects. Dr. LeBeau has received special training to administer Kybella™ safely and effectively, according to a very specific medical protocol.[/two_third][/layout]
Is KYBELLA™ safe?
KYBELLA™ has been the focus of a global clinical development program involving over 20 clinical studies with more than 2,600 patients worldwide, of which over 1,600 have been treated with KYBELLA™.
Production of KYBELLA™ is a highly controlled, quality-assured and validated, current Good Manufacturing Practices-compliant process to ensure patient safety. KYBELLA™ contains no human or animal-derived substances.

Like any cosmetic surgical procedure, determining your candidacy ultimately comes down to a discussion between you and your physician, and robotic hair transplantation is no exception. However, there are some common factors that can help determine if hair transplantation is right for you. As the most effective and advanced method of hair restoration available, many people are interested in achieving real hair growth again in balding areas. Here are a few points to consider when deciding if hair transplantation is the best option for you.
Experience with hair loss
Men who have been balding for years are usually in a good position to look into robotic hair transplantation. A man who has been losing hair over time and has tried other hair loss medications can be a good candidate because his pattern for hair loss is more stabilized and predictable, making his transplantation plan even more accurate.
While robotic hair transplantation can also be right for younger patients, being able to determine the future expected hair loss for a patient while understanding their hair loss pattern significantly improves the hair transplantation procedure.
Amount of donor hair
A person is considered good candidate for robotic hair transplantation when they have a stable supply of donor hair, which is sufficient to cover the current and future areas of hair loss. Ultimately, the amount of hair that is transplanted depends on the amount of hair you have available at the back of the scalp or donor area. If your hair is dense, you may be able to have more follicles transplanted and achieve better coverage. If your hair is thinner in the donor area, your procedure might require a more conservative approach.
Other factors
Hair transplantation might also be fitting for men and women who have lost hair due to trauma or burns or an unrelated cosmetic procedure. Overall, robotic hair transplantation is considered successful for both the physician and the patient when realistic expectations of potential outcomes are outlined at the beginning of the process.
At LeBeau Clinic, we apply our skill and experience with robotic hair transplantation using the leading ARTAS System to provide natural looking, personalized results for every patient. To learn more about how we provide hair transplants in Pensacola, we welcome you to contact us today to schedule a consultation or submit our online consultation form to develop a plan for your hair restoration.

As one of the leading non-surgical cosmetic treatments available, many people are familiar with Botox for improving the appearance of facial wrinkles. Whether you are considering Botox for the first time, or you routinely receive Botox injections, everyone has an interest in getting the most out of their treatment.
For preventative use or to treat wrinkles that have occurred from repetitive facial expressions such as frowning, Botox is used to stop particular muscles from contracting, which gives the face a more refreshed and smooth appearance. What can you do to extend your results from Botox?
Routine treatments
The key to longer lasting results from Botox could be as simple as maintaining regular treatments. While results vary from person to person, Botox is usually effective for about three to four months before it is no longer present. Because of this, receiving treatments on a routine basis (about 3-4 times a year) can continually weaken the muscles that cause wrinkles and extend results over time.
Healthy skin care
Of course, there are actions to take beyond Botox injections to maintain healthy skin. In coordination with regular Botox treatments, there are several core skin care practices to maintain beautiful skin. Remember to:

  • Drink plenty of water
  • Avoid smoking
  • Avoid overexposure to sunlight, especially during the peak sunlight hours
  • Wear a broad-spectrum SPF sunscreen daily (link to LeBeau Skin)

When considering Botox, it’s important to look for a reputable physician with experience administering Botox. A Board Certified Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeon with aesthetic experience is the ideal option when considering Botox treatments. Performed by the right physician, Botox is a safe and highly effective way to reduce facial wrinkles.

Tattooing skin dates back thousands of years. Of the millions of Americans who have tattoos, many people now seek to have one or more of their tattoos removed. Because there are a handful of laser tattoo removal systems available on the market today, it might seem like they offer similar treatments. In fact, the differences between certain tattoo removal lasers couldn’t be more drastic, and in turn, important for your results.
The problem with false marketing
With tattoo removal, it’s important to look past marketing and know what technology will truly work to remove your tattoo. For example, the tattoo removal industry has seen extensive promotion of one of the newest lasers, Picosure. This system claims to be one of the biggest advancements in laser tattoo removal. While in some ways, Picosure tattoo removal offers new technology, it’s effectiveness is not to the degree its marketing suggests.
The biggest difference the Picosure laser promotes is the amount of time the laser’s energy is applied to skin with each pulse. As its name suggests, it has a pulse-width of 1 picosecond, which is shorter than that of other well-known Q-Switched lasers.
Marketing of Picosure hypes effective tattoo removal, leading many people to believe that it can remove a tattoo in very few treatments. The truth is that unless a tattoo is blue, green, or purple, the Picosure cannot be used alone treat the tattoo. Unfortunately, reds and yellows can be very difficult to treat with the Picosure, because the laser only uses one wavelength.
What to look for in a laser
Ultimately, if reds, yellows, and oranges are present in a tattoo, the Picosure laser is not the best fit to effectively fade those colors. Instead, Q-switched lasers like the Astanza Trinity System are designed to effectively treat a wide spectrum of colors including reds, yellows, and oranges.
With the cost of Picosure laser treatments nearly double the price of Q-switched laser treatments, it’s important to consider if a laser system with color limitations is the right option for you.
At LeBeau Clinic, we use the Astanza Trinity System for the most comprehensive laser tattoo removal in Pensacola and along the Gulf Coast. To find out how we can help treat your tattoo or to schedule a consultation, contact us today.
