Pensacola Florida ThermiTight

Dr. Jacque LeBeau and LeBeau Clinic are proud to be the first in Northwest Florida to introduce ThermiTight, the newest FDA approved minimally invasive device to tighten and lift that bothersome saggy, lose skin on the neck, face and body.

What is ThermiTight?

ThermiTight is a minimally invasive treatment that utilizes radiofrequency energy to heat up the undersurface of the skin using a tiny (needle like) blunt radiofrequency probe.

ThermiTight works differently than other technologies; unlike lasers, ThermiTight works beneath the skin’s surface rather than through the skin’s surface. It utilizes radio-frequency energy (RF) to heat beneath the skin using a tiny (needle like) blunt radio-frequency probe called a cannula. Through the small probe, radiofrequency energy transfers heat beneath the skin to shrink and tighten at the deepest layers. The main idea behind this treatment is that our skin collagen gets stimulated, reorganizes and tightens when it gets heated up to about 50-60C. This change in collagen leads to tighter skin as well as to improved skin elasticity as new collagen continues to form. In addition, fat deposits in the treatment area are reduced. This combination of skin tightening, improving skin elasticity and decreasing excess fat is what gives patients great results with minimal downtime.  After the procedure, your skin will look and feel tighter and smoother and will continue to improve over the next four to six months with long lasting results.

Who is a Candidate for ThermiTight?

You are a candidate for ThermiTight procedure if you have some skin laxity and/or fat excess in one or several areas of the face or body  but you are not willing to undergo surgery. In other words, if you are a so called “In-Between” patient.

How is ThermiTight Performed?

First, the areas to be treated are outlined with a marker. The skin is then cleansed with an antiseptic. Sites are marked and injected with local anesthetic. Once the area is all numb and ready to be treated, a small blunt radiofrequency probe is introduced under the skin. The radiofrequency energy is then delivered via this probe to heat up the undersurface of the skin to about 55-60C. At the same time, the temperature at the skin surface is monitored by a special high-resolution infrared camera to make sure that the skin doesn’t get too hot. The temperature can vary from patient to patient depending on skin thickness, amount of extra fat, and other factors. The prescribed temperature is set by Dr. LeBeau to ensure a comfortable yet effective treatment for each patient. The procedure takes about 1 hour (depending on the area(s) treated). Patients are usually able to return to normal activity within 24 hours. There can be swelling that generally subsides within 5-7 days.

So, if that area on your face or neck is bothering you, and you want great results without surgery, schedule a consultation with a Dr. LeBeau to learn more about the procedure and how it can help you get your desired results.
