Procedure(s): Local tissue flap reconstruction (Bilobed Flap) of nasal defect
Details: This client had MOHS excision of his nasal tip for a basal cell carcinoma and was then referred to my office for cosmetic reconstruction of the resultant defect. A specialized flap, called a bilobed flap, was used to reconstruct the defect without causing any deformities of the nostril or the nasal tip. The procedure was performed under local anesthesia with light sedation. He is seen here the day of his procedure, immediately after closing the defect with the bilobed flap. His photos one month following his reconstruction are shown in the next case. He is very happy with the contour, color match and restoration of natural shape of his nose.
